It was a courageous leap into the unknown, leaving my roots in Southern California behind for Las Vegas. I was ready for change and willing to embrace the challenges and opportunities that came with it. 

 

My early years were marked by a strong work ethic. If I wasn’t at school, I was probably working. As a teenager, I was very driven to earn money and do a good job. However, I soon realized an important flaw in the system: the hard work I put into a job didn’t always translate to more money. There was a ceiling on what I could earn. This sparked my initial interest in one day becoming an entrepreneur, doing something I was truly passionate about. 

 

There was a persistent yearning for something more as I navigated the workforce. Moving to Las Vegas was more than a change of location; it was a chance for me to reset my course in life and find a path that was fulfilling.

 

My early years in Las Vegas were marked by some of the greatest milestones of my life. My wife and I got married; we have known each other since we were kids. We also had two children, Tyler and Lana. While they were young, my focus was on our family, prioritizing their well-being and our financial stability above all else. I continued bookkeeping work because it was the safe choice, but owning my own business still lingered in the back of my mind. 

 

Around 2015, the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the real estate market piqued my interest. I had the work ethic and determination to be successful. All I needed now was the courage to try. While maintaining my day job, I began flipping properties on the side. In truth, it was more like balancing two full-time jobs at once. There were endless things to learn, but it was all exciting, and I loved it. 

 

The process of transforming houses, navigating financial risks and experiencing the many uncertainties that come along with property flipping was daunting. However, I was drawn to the uncharted potential for growth and success in the real estate market, and I was determined to seize every opportunity.

 

My goals evolved from the hands-on world of property investment to building client relationships as I took on the role of an active real estate agent. From there, everything snowballed. My expertise in property flipping became an asset in helping clients buy and sell homes. I leveraged my knowledge of the market, financials, communities, construction processes, and more to guide clients into their perfect homes or help investors find great investment opportunities.

 

The flexibility afforded by real estate allowed me to be more active in my children's lives. I can take them to school every morning and spend that precious quality time together. I also enjoy going to their Taekwondo classes and watching them compete in tournaments. When we want to go on vacation or travel for an out-of-town tournament, there’s rarely a question of whether I can make it  because I have control of my own schedule. The flexibility real estate has provided me is truly life-changing. 

 

In the end, my journey from Southern California to Las Vegas taught me that sometimes, the most meaningful changes in life come when you step out of your comfort zone and take that courageous leap into the unknown. With the right determination and perseverance, you can build a life that aligns with what matters most. And for me, that is my family, the relationships I have built here and the fulfilling career I have established in real estate.
